154HHT, 163HHT and 168HHT in a 300 RUM

Waiting to see what you come up with!
Mine should be here today. Won't get to play with them for a bit. Wife is buying me some good brass for helping her work a wedding next weekend, lol.

The weather said play hooky this morning👍

All bullets were loaded to a cbto of 3.995. This length lined up perfectly in the Valley of the top Groove for the 154s. What's nice is this is the exact spot the 137s load to also. The 163s were a different story. All PDR bands had to be inside the neck for it to function in my magazine.

Also nice to see was none of the pressure columns scattered bullets. All seem to be in clusters (So far). H1000 had smaller clusters. All were under an 1 1/4 in. though.👍

I am aware that I am marginally stable as far as the tables are concerned. I've seen this pill function perfectly in a 1-11 twist Sako 300 rum in Tasmania. I have no concerns at this point.

I figured I'd add 2 more grains to the Rx 26 loads and 3 more grains to the H1000 loads and get a long string🥴 I'm also going to explore WC 857 and see what kind of velocity it'll give with each pill. Maybe, if Rx 26 gets me the numbers that I want. And the accuracy. I'll save the pills, but curiosity might just shoot them anyway🤷

🚀🚀🚀

This place is awesome

They are the sexiest looking, feeling, (Thanks Steve, you made them so slick I kept dropping them) bullet to date. I can't wait to get some loaded up. I'm only shooting 308 and 708, not the RUMs like you power house hammerheads do! :)

Talk about a gapping hole in these! The shed pedals look like they will be much larger than the HH pedals?

My 132 HHT for my 280 AI came in, now to decide what powder to use.
Mountainman, I will be interested in your results as won’t be getting to mine for a few weeks

Mine came today too. When I get time I'll be playing with the 163s and the 118gr 6.5s.

I started the new Hammer HHT Spreadsheet just now. When I get some data, I'll post it for everyone.

No computer whiz kids have volunteered to take over (yet🤞)😁

Mine didn't come! Oh well, I have arrows to fletch. Antelope hunt is about 2 months away.

Gingeman - Nothing wrong with the 308. I continue to be amazed at how efficient a cartridge it is. Those additional FPS that one can get out of a 300 RUM comes with a much larger dose of powder and recoil. That said, I do enjoy the RUM.

Yassir, I was amazed when a Vortex podcast brought up the math on the 708 vs 7Mag. 40% more powder for only 9% more velocity!? 708AI said me!
