Hit a charter one morning out of Kapaa, Kauai. The top water bite was off so we found some structure in 50 fathoms that was holding fish and we dropped some dead baits down to get em.
Amberjacks and uku. (Blue green snapper).

If it were a competition, my son boated; the biggest, the smallest, the most fish total and the most fish species. I think I caught two ajs, the other guy (Jim from Indiana) on the boat caught one uku.

I can remember my first tarpon. Nice looking fish. Y'all must have had a ball🎣 good job dad👍

Not the jumbos but first 2023 trip on Lake Michigan March 11th which is rare this early. Normally dodging ice floes! We arrived at 11, 2 man limit (10) of cohos by 12:30!! Action crazy fast, son was putting out 6 rod spread but couldn't get all out for a while due to strikes while setting lines. Always a great time when that happens! Cohos perfect eating size! Lake rolling pretty good out of WNW with some rollers in 4' but was calming down.

Coyotes ate good that night with entrails placed back of property!

Put a 20” striper in the box a week and a half ago. No pics. Only time I’ve gone out. Waters way up so bank fishing isn’t great. Had to cut myself in an spot to sit, wore a life jacket just in case. Been watching the flow charts and looks like the water is probably right around my chair or higher now.

First cast, you got to start out small. We killed them Sunday morning. Probably caught 20 in the first 2 hours. Some up to 3 lbs.
Dangdest landing net I ever saw! What you using Flukes for? Still bedding?

No fair. Our weather has been crap on my days off the last 2 weeks🤣

Our water is drying up. they (bait and bass) are coming out of the flats and they are schooling at this particular Bridge. fluke is weedless.

Splashed boat today, first run for year on Lake Michigan. Went solo. Decent morning, lost really nice one prob 20# range, hooks just pulled out, landed smaller one, ginormous lake trout about 25# that I was able to shake hooks out behind boat so it would release perfect. Decent coho wrapped up morning. Gorgeous day flat calm. Blue sky. Water temp still only 51 on surface so little chilly in shorts.

Just got back from 1.5 days on Grand Traverse Bay and Crystal Lake N Michigan for smallies. Perfect weather! Son and I caught and released a bunch in 2-4# range. Really good bite in both locations. Crystal Lake pretty much into on beds while Grand Traverse Bay just getting ready. Swim baits, tubes and Ned rigs were good. Sun was brutal with reflection off water.
