    I've found it minimal on both bolt & gas guns. On a gas gun, without an adjustable gas block, you can actually loose velocity.

    I have a 338 Allen Xpress (Lapua Improved) current loads are over 104 gr of H1000 for 250 AB @ 3200 & RL33 for 300 SMK @2950 in fire formed Lapua brass. What powder and potential speed you think for the 210 HHT in this cartridge?

    Were you running suppressed or unsuppressed when you couldnt get the Grendel to cycle? Curious if the back pressure would help cycling or not....

    Tikka 7mm-08 Range Report - Need Input

    Varget will take the 131 HH to over 3k in a 7-08 Tikka Ultralite that was shortened 3/4" due to botched thread job, so you have room with your current setup.

    Alliant 15.5

    Any loads for something shorter than 26" barrel or did I miss something? I have a ton of Varget and not really seeing much gain for 68AH, 70HH or 75HHT to be had with 15.5 over Varget. Please enlighten me, I'll be loading for 20" 243 AR.

    My love for Varget is: availibilty, temp stability, and use with several caliber I have (why I have a stockpile). 10 years ago was different, having a different powder for every caliber wasn't a big deal, not so much now....     That's reassuring, read a lot about donuts and crushing necks when doing that. I do have a bunch of Lake City 7.62 brass and can neck tirn if needed.
