    Nosler let down.

Their barrels are outsourced. They used pacnor on the early m48's, not sure if I have one or not. Now they use shilen select barrels. I just screwed a new shilen on new bighorn action 20 min ago for a new rifle build. I bet it doesn't look like that 🤣. I did get a shipping label emailed to me...

    Nosler let down.

The guy is super nice and helpful, but he just answers the phone. Hell, my rifle was shipped to a different facility that he wasn't even at to get worked on and test fired. All he can do is read a report. Thats why I have a feeling that there was a mixup of my rifle with a other. Something is...

    Nosler let down.

Pacnor was the original barrel maker and now they use shilen select match barrels. I have/had shilens and never seen one tool marked like this one. Especially the issue with the chamber.

I told him about it. He said he wished bore scopes were never invented 🤣. Pretty much it didn't matter what it looked like. Like stated above some ugly looking barrels still shoot good. But still.

    Nosler let down.

Update: talked to nosler today. They are taking the rifle back in for another inspection. The guy was almost shocked sounding when I asked for a shipping label. Said he will have to get it approved since it will cost $250. Wth... he rambled on about it shooting so well for them and pretty much...

    Nosler let down.

We'll see what happens tomorrow. I'll ask and see if there is a supervisor or upper management person I can speak to. I'll keep it posted.

    Nosler let down.

Sorry guys. 143 HH's. I've yesterday to hit a flat primer or sticky bolt. 90gr of retumbo was slower that 85.5 so I beleive I'm at the point of no more return. 3650 fps has got to be a hot load. No need it pushing it harder than that. I cant make it even get close to their 1 moa guarantee with...

Yes. Back in earlier posts, I swapped to my nightforce nxs 3.5x15 with the same results.

    Nosler let down.

I give up. I dont know what to try or do next. I'm just shy of 100 rounds through this rifle now with not a single group giving me any hope. Today I ran it up to 90gr. of retumbo to see if I could hit pressure signs... nothing. I used my magnetospeed on a 89.5 and 90gr load to see where I was...

    Nosler let down.

86gr left 89.2 right. I see the ejector mark, but it's on every round I've fired including all the factory ammo. Zero sticky bolt lift.

    Nosler let down.

Loaded 4 rounds in .3 increments from 88.3 - 89.2 to hit pressure to see how much further I had. Ran out to the farm and fired them. At 89.2, I still had 0 pressure signs. Case head and primer look the same at the 87gr charge. Ill load a few and see what groups look like pushed a little harder...

    Nosler let down.

Just got back from the range. Imr 7828ssc gave interesting results. Retumbo was about the same except for the 88gr charge. 88 is book max but shows no sign of pressure. I may creep it up from there and see if things tighten up or itwas a fluke group. That is the best group I've fired out of the...

    243AI bullet selection?

Got a bighorn TL3 on the way with a trigger tech diamond, grayboe Phoenix and bottom metal and 2 barrels. Ordered a 26" criterion shouldered prefit heavy sporter in 243ai with a 10 twist. I've got 12-20 weeks wait time so I had them send me a 24" heavy sporter 6x47 Lapua to burn up while I wait...
