    Best short action chambering?

You can get the action cut to take a Wyatt’s box. I would think you could also utilize a AICS mag as well which would give you more length.

Trying to decide on my next build?

I'm sending that 155 AH at just shy of 3200 fps, I am waiting on the 155 AHT to try in the 280 AI next. The 7SS would be primarily for heavies.

    Best short action chambering?

@OG-Danimal I would go with a 7SS, you can run a standard 180 gr at 2900 fps in a 22" barrel. It would check all of your boxes

Trying to decide on my next build?

Guess I forgot to add, this is for my SA switch barrel.

Trying to decide on my next build?

If it didn’t shoot so dang good, I’d probably add more FB. As good as it shoots, I’m scared to touch it. LOL

Trying to decide on my next build?

Trying to decide what cartridge I want to go with next. Right now, I’m down to two: 22 Grendel/ARC - I still have dies from my previous 22 Grendel, but I also already have a 22 Creedmoor. 7SS - I already have a 280 AI that shoots 155 AHs great, that said it’s got a SAAMI freebore which...

22CM/SW Precision/68 HHT is showing some promise!

I haven’t looked at it lately since I’ve got an 8 lb jug. I’m going to load a few up at 38.7 gr and see what it does. If consist enough, I may switch from my RL16 load and save the RL16 for my 280 AI.

.224, 74 gr HHT required twist?

I’m guessing when you say terminal stability you mean its ability to stay the course and not yaw or tumble once it makes contact, correct?

.224, 74 gr HHT required twist?

I’m just a tinkerer, and my brain just never shuts down thinking about stuff like this. A replacement is easy since my rifle is a switch barrel, so lots of opportunity.

.224, 74 gr HHT required twist?

So question if anyone knows? The .224 74 gr HHT says 7.5 twist is needed, but I’m wondering if a 7.7 twist will work? When I put it in the Berger calculator it says I’m very marginal on stability (1.18), but when I put it in the JBM calculator it gives the the green light and says I’m just shy...

Very impressed with the 68 HHT/22CM

From what I understand it’s being announced at SHOT this week, that it has officially been approved by SAAMI.

Very impressed with the 68 HHT/22CM

I had a 22-250 AI, but it was a 9 twist, and I couldn’t get it to stabilize the bullets I wanted to.

Very impressed with the 68 HHT/22CM

The only other bullet I’ve shot in this rifle is the 73 gr ELD-M, and it shoots extremely well. That said, I’ve not shot any critters with it. I’m sold on the 68 HHT after seeing what it will do. I’m definitely going to carry it to WY on a pronghorn hunt in the future!
