I would try H100v, or Ramshot hunter. Hunter gave almost 100% case fill, with a 130 absolute hammer, around 3475 FPS. As you said RL19 might be good as well.

Just curious if the group was tiny or not. I find sometimes that my best ES/SD doesn't necessarily group the best. Either way that's impressive!

For a 143 hammer hunter and H1000, max was around 66 grains. For H4831sc, max was around 68 grains. H4831SC gave better velocity and case fill. H1000 was just a few hundred FPS slow, but accurate. Will be different with 151 and your rifle, but that gets you in the ballpark. I found Ramshot...

I second the idea of shooting a powder ladder test. Once I know the upper limit i back off and shoot 2 shot groups in .5 grain increments up to near max. In my 7mm mag with the 140 AH i found excellent accuracy but only at certain small powder windows. Best of luck!

I'll start saving up my change for some AHT's. I love the 7mm AH line, you can get amazing velocity. Also you don't need to use the unobtainable slow burning magnum powders.

RL7 works great in my 16" AR with 40 grain vmaxs, but im not gonna buy anymore after I'm out. The Alliant prices are just too crazy right now. I see LT30, and LT32 on sale somewhat regularly, hopefully get the price down to normal for a pound. Maybe accurate 2200 is worth a shot.

This makes no sense. Is the gunsmith taking the ejector/spring out when using go/ no-go gauges? If not that could cause a problem.

I don't even look at Alliant powders anymore. Vihtavuori seems to have gone up the least in the last two years. I still like Vihtavuori, Ramshot and Hodgdon/IMR. I also like accurate, but mostly for pistols.

I find that the copper comes out fairly easy, I use shooters choice mc7, barnes cr10, or similar cleaners. Just patches and bronze brush usually takes care of the copper. If I notice the cleaning rod hopping/ hard to stroke through, I then use a tiny bit of JB bore paste with patches, or nylon...

I've been sold on the 140AH in my 1:9 twist 7 mag. I've been able to push it from 3250-3400 fps with excellent accuracy. I've recently started messing with the 130AH, and found good accuracy around 3475fps. I too am hoping for the absolute hammer tipped!

Some good thoughts above. When looking at the HHT on the website, I was wondering if the number of bands that you have inside the cartridge neck would affect accuracy because of bullet concentricity/alignment. Or maybe the total distance between the furthest bands in contact with the neck...

I've been running 7RM, just put another barrel on. Hammers have brought new possibilities to the cartridge. The extra case capacity can be helpful compared to say 7mm prc. Also I like the Absolute hammers, they kind of negate distance to lands / Seating issues. Good results Farrier!

Dont know much, but Weatherby loads the 177 for its 7PRC ammo.

I've got a pound of H100v I've been wanting to try in the 7mag with the 140 and 130 AH, but hunting season was coming up. These hammer bullets are too good, it's fun just experimenting to see how accurate a load you can workup!
