People, instead of cluttering up the reloading data thread, I choose to start this one, comparing three Hammers at known attainable velocities and known velocity of a factory 250 338 RUM core loc!

Details 250 corelock— 2850 velocity — G1 - .431
235 HH. — 3200 velocity — G7 — .267
225 SH. — 3300 velocity — G7 — .216
213 HH. — 3400 velocity — G7 — .266

Energy. Muzzle. 200 yards. 400 yards
250. —— 4509. —- 3292. —- 2349
235. —-5343. —-4215. —- 3279
225. —- 5440. —-4070. —- 2980
213. —- 5467. —-4347. —- 3405

This is a real eye opener, I believe just energy alone is only a part of it, but….we know how Hammers work, we know they out penetrate, so it doesn’t take much creative ability to know why we have better kills and internal damage compared to cup and core! Now we easier understand the “ King of Splat “, the Bundy guzzler, the drinker of “ Mothers Milk “………Russell Coight Ford! I lean towards Chevy’s 🤔😳😂😉
With these energy levels and a twisting front fragmenting petals, these numbers to me make it quite clear the differences we are dealing with! And the dynamics of a Hammer compared to a conventional corelock are black and white. Look at each yardage and the percentage of energy gain is huge!!! 👍🤝🍺🍺🍺🇺🇸💪👌😉 comments, input, I am sure there may be something I missed…” Fire at Will “!
