Thanks to Steve and Brian for bring this .475 352 grain Shock Hammer to life.

470 Capstick: TC Encore, 15” SSK Barrel 1-16 Twist.
Complete setup weights 10.5#.
Cartridge: 470 Capstick is a full length 375 H&H Magnum opened up to .475 Caliber.
Brass: Peterson Basic Magnum Casing / Case capacity 115 grains H20 / Trimmed 2.840”.
COL: 3.675” with the 352 Shock Hammer
Primer: CCI 250
Powder: H335\H4895\N130
Chronograph: Lab Radar
Bullet BC: G1 .252 – Lab radar + JBM ballistics with atmospheric data day of test, elevation 750ft.
H335:
84.0 = 2375
86.0 = 2425
87.5 = 2475
88.0 = 2524
H4895:
88.0 = 2373
90.0 = 2406
N130:
84.0 = 2433
85.5 = 2482
86.3 = 2490
Preliminary range report at 100 Yards off the bench.
While all powders preformed well, N130 was the most consistent giving good case fill, velocity and accuracy in the 84 to 85.5 grain range. I’d consider 85.5 grains to be max. 86 grains plus produced the two flyers with minimal velocity gain.
84 grains of N130 place four shots in the same hole. The lower shot in the group was me, after 10 shots I begun to feel it.
Next up, adjust point of impact and try a few on water filled jugs & wet newsprint.

You mind expanding on that Steve? I had heard of it before but never even knew what it was until this post. It seems like a powerhouse, I wonder if it’s even legal in Canada?
 
Only reason I say that is it isn't another under powered straight wall cartridge. Most of them are some version of a 223 running 20gr of powder.
