Surprised anything survived. This is my hardest hitting bullet smacking the molding clay over 3200 FPS and delivering over 3200 foot pounds of energy. Getting better at recovering the bullet and petals.
Backsplash is what’s amazing me. When I walk up on an animal I usually see a pool of blood where the critter lay. But the last 2 molding clay shots I’ve taken, clay and other material was found 20-30 yards before I reached original shot location.
Blowback occurs at higher velocity impacts, but it's usually not as pronounced as it was with the modeling clay. Usually its blood droplets and a bit of lung tissue/froth
I think it would be interesting to compare the amount of "clay displacement" between hammers and others. I know the method wouldn't make into any scientific journals, but I think it's, at least, a measurable indication of energy transfer/destructive effect.

Farleg ( and his Hooligan mob, possible Tasmanian little rascals! ) was seeing this with the 338-210 HHT prototype, organs on the ground coming out the bullet entrance hole!
