Howdy Steve, gltaylor or anybody who knows.
I've been running Hammer Hunters in
300 RUM, 300 WM, 7 RM , 65 PRC, 6.5 Needmore but not in 257 Weatherby yet.
I has a 1 in 10 twist 26 in Barrel. 100 gr. Barnes TTSX and LRX (sorry) shoot great out of it.
I was checking ALL the .25 cal. Hammer bullets 😳 I'm wanting to go with a Hunter style. 92, 95, 103 ? I need to get back on your site to check twist rates for each. Sorry.
What powders have you used in testing the 257.
I've had great luck with RL26 and H1000. But with other bullets.

Thanks all !

My 92hh are run through a 25-06 with 10" twist, so no help on weatherby. But if it matters your 26 with get you there quicker than the 1000.
I run 560 @3500 in 25-06 w/92hh.
I chronographed the load with RL26 and less than 1/2 in. I don't want to go look up data but maybe I will . Was Norma case. Fed 215M primer. Barnes TTSX... Hang on I'll look on RL26 charge ...
I'm back. 72.0 grs RlL26 was 3669 fps. Awesome accuracy. 74.0 grs H1000 at 3624 fps almost as accurate. The TTSX in both loads was a little bit smaller group and little more fps than 101 LRx. Edit.
It was 3/8 in. 5 shots at 100 yds. A Weatherby Vangaurd I won at AES Raffles for 10 bucks. 6 rifles and 9 pistols. Muddy is hooked now 😉

I had good luck in my 257 weatherby and a 90 absolute hammer. H4350 got me to almost 4k but with pressure. For a 95 hht or 92 hammer hunter I’d definitely try a powder in the h4831 burn range.
