280 Ackley got a facelift

Friend of mine talked me out of my old 280 Ackley so I decided to give it a facelift. Rifle is a Stevens action with PTG bolt sleeve, Timney trigger, Bartlein Sendero contour barrel 26" with 1:9 twist. It is pillar bedded into a Boyd's stock and is topped with a Crimson Trace 6-24x55. Originally it had a tan Duracoat paint job that stood up very will since around 2010.

Rifle has never fired a Hammer bullet but I intend to fix that in the next day or two with some 131 HH's.

I think it turned out pretty nice............kinda hate to part with it now.

Build another,

My .280a.i has a blued Tikka action, IBI C/wrapped barrel and a Bolly/PDI Australian made C/F stock. . Light and accurate but just not pretty.

I'm think I'm more obsessed with the cartridge than the rifle. I would like one in a nice timber stocked rifle but then this works just fine without outlaying for something else when I don't get out enough.
