Chrono diffuser for bright sunny days

So guys I had an idea pop in my head for a diffuser for my Chrono on super bright days. I am thinking a white 5 gallon bucket with the bottom cut out and slipped over the Chrono making like a tunnel to shoot through. Do you guys think this would work?

Scotch tap over the sensors...way easier! The sensors need translucent, not opaque, over top.

I think it will work. Nice clear white sky without sunlight shining in your sensors. Only one way to find out. (y)

I use a surveyor’s tripod (sturdy!) and a cheap Amazon umbrella that came with a chair clamp at the base of the handle. Shades the chrono well.

How do you keep flies from buzzing through the traps, causing false readings?
