From western Montana, hello fellow Gun Guys and Girls, hunters, I decided to join the great conversation after a couple of years of watching and learning. I have loaded Shock Hammer bullets in 2 different Browning 1885 rifles, a 7mm Remington Magnum, and a 270 Winchester, both with 28 inch barrels. The velocities and accuracy are amazing in both calibers. I bought the new Garmin Xero chronograph Saturday and had to try it out on some different loads, the 270 shot a 3shot clover at 200 yards at a little over 3200 fps with a 130 grain Shock Hammer, the 7mm shot sub 3/4 moa at a 100 yards, I am right at max in Hodgdon's manual for IMR 8133 with a 160 grain Shock Hammer, I'm almost afraid to say the 3 shot average speed was 3410 fps with no pressure signs using new Sig brass. Should I be concerned with this load, it shoots great and no pressure signs, I look forward to any commentary and advise.
