Well I suppose I should finish this thread out.
Pretty much a bust. Not for lack of effort though. One thing after another delayed our departure. We got the trailer hooked and loaded, and truck broke down. Long story stuff that was paid for to be replaced was scabbed together instead. We ended up renting a truck.
We also were sick. I thought a bunch of it was choking on smoke, and my crappy sinuses.Thinking covid at this point-if I had known my partner was also getting it and coughed the entire road trip portion, I may have begged off.
When I got home I had to be assisted the last few feet to bed. I guess I say we left it all on the field.
I did get out long enough to see one very shootable buck. Just too old, fat, sick, and slow to pull it off in the time allowed.
The high desert nights, especially with a full moon are always a blessing to observe. As always God's will always prevails. Confusing for sure, but he is present for all of it.
