Don't Be Stupid

I would get those rings, but I love the ARC M-Brace rings over all others. Yeah, they chunky too, but rock solid bomb proof stuff. The clamp style rings allow for the easiest scope mounting I've had. They don't move the scope at all while tightening with even the recommended 50inlbs of torque!
You’re making me want a set of these 🤔

Relatedly.....been on the prowl for some VV N165 or N560 which look pretty comparable. No luck yet but seeing N565 available. Anyone played with these that can offer comparability?

I’ve played with both the N560 and N565 in my 33 Nos under a 235 HH. No experience with the N165. My gun liked 565 better but I do use a drop tube. The N560 works well in my 300 win mag with 160 HH too.

What do you want to load with them? I tried N565 and N560 in my 6.5 PRC with the 125 HHT. Couldn't get enough N565 in the case to reach pressure. N560 is faster and that's what I settled on.

TBD. For now, just looking to round out my inventory. Have good supplies pretty well spaced from Varget up to H4831sc, then skip to H1000. Thought N165/560 looked like good "fillers" for that space. Had good luck with N150 in 7x57/120HH combo and VV seems to be better price point. Wasn't sure if 565 was closer to 560 or 570, or spot in the middle. Sounds like from your experience it's a good bit slower than 560 so I might hold out for 165/560.

Since loading Hammers haven't found a need for anything slower than 4831sc, but just making contingency plans in case I find a situation for a heavy or add a new cartridge down the road.

Not a definitive answer to the relationship between N165 & N565, but I've tried:
N140 & N540 - N140 pressures early before desired velocity and no real precision accolades. N540 is a great powder with versatility. Really no comparison. 708 & 308 use
N165 - is a RL23 equivalent. It's my favorite in 300WM with 154HHT.
N170 & N570 - Both perform great, but N570 has such large kernels it's a PITA to flow through powder dispenser and funnels. N170 has smaller, better flow kernels and hits same velocities as N570 with .5gr less powder. 300WM 200gr class bullets.

Of course N165 goes unavailable after all my discovery and load development. Looking at N560 as an alternative, but there is no steady rule for these Viht powders between the 100 and 500 series.

Helpful assessment. Thank you sir!

I snagged a 1000 GM210Ms online the other day but I had to leave town just before they were delivered. Since no one was home to sign for them they sent them back. I'm not fond of the Hazmatt requirements or shipping companies that won't hold something for a few days.

I have to recant my rant because Fedex called me today to pick up my package, despite the note they left on my door stating they could not hold a Hazmat package.
I am primer rich!😜
