I’m making the switch

I've used both in a couple to compare.
I found that you need about .5 to 1gn more sw precision to match velocity of varget. Buttt es/sd was better in each situation favoring sw precision.
Are they close in density? In other words, would case fill be the same for each?

Very close, unless your compressed with varget not much difference.
Maybe compressed they are closer but didn't go that far in testing.
tried it in a CM and 308.
During pandemic used what you could find!

Now we're talking!
Ran down to 205(?)s in my 338 and they shot bugholes with good velocity. Haven't shot the 175s yet. Too many other projects - but I'll get there sometime😉.
My 338 is a pipsqueak compared to the Edge🤪. Depending upon what the Hammer guys make, the HHT in 338 may be one I fool with. My 338 is only capable of moderate velocities (~3000 fps).

Edit: Joe, it's refreshing that you are capable of resolutions😝. Keep up the good work!

I do wonder why you didn’t choose a platform with a shorter bolt lift like a Browning or Tikka? The size of scope ocular bells is getting big enough these days to leave less and less room for those 90* bolt lifts.
