These are smaller ocular bells on these 2 scopes, but I'm hoping the pictures illustrate what I'm taking about regarding bolt clearance.

Here is my Savage. At 90* bolt throw, it's pretty close to the scope:

Here is my Xbolt. 60* bolt throw:

I run a lot of savages with many higher end scopes and have never had a problem with my bolt clearance. If a guy ever had a problem….which I don’t think will ever happen, a good smith could always alter the bolt to work. It would look a lot like a Remington model 600 bolt.

The bolts on Savages are easy to swap out. Prob a gazillion styles out there.

The 4K club just keeps getting bigger! Thanks Bean! The 25WSM will be perfect for my 700 300WSM that I never really liked due to poor magazine COAL but the 25WSM will be awesome! I will be talking to ya!! Always great to have someone break trail!! But gotta finish my .270 Serengeti!
