I'd love to know what your 22 CM does with Hammers. Hopefully you can report that data.
I would like to but the rifle has been picked up already. I put a bug in his ear about trying Hammers. I would like to see what it would do with the 70 grain but I didn't have any when I was test driving it.

@Mountainman
How far did you push the .243 55HH with N150?
Thx
I don't recall Muddy and I can't find anything in my notes but knowing me this load is probably up there. :)
Just going through my book and uploading all my Hammer loads like I should have done a long time ago. I seem to have a lot of hammer loads. I know there are a lot of little black boxes in my gun room :giggle:

Caliber: ___10mm Automatic (.400)
Bullet:_____150 Jack Hammer (actual weight 151.3g)
Powder:___Accurate No.7
Primer: ___CCI300 LP
Brass: _____Starline 1x
COAL:_____1.262"
Pistol:_____Glock 20 Gen4 - unmodified factory
Barrel:____ 4.61"
Twist:______1:9.84

Crimp: Lee FCD taper crimp (1 1/4T) in middle of top PDR groove, assorted brass 1x, including Starline, Sig, GFI, Doubletap. Lee FL sizing die with standard NT - expander unmodified.

Start Load: 11.7g
Final Load: 12.3g

Ladder based on: Hogdon reloading data for 150g SIE JHP - 11.7g min load/13.0g max load; Nosler load data for 150g .400 - 11.7g min to 12.7g max

Temperature: 59F
Humidity: 55%
Elevation: Sea level +161 ft

Notes: Goal was to find a moderate, low pressure load for practise, plinking paper and steel targets at 7.5 to 30 yds. There were no pressure signs at 12.3g and accuracy was excellent at all ranges due to mild recoil of 150 JH at lower pressures. At 7.5 yards, on paper, holes were touching. Rapid fire groups of 3 shots printed 3 inch groups at 10 yards. This is a great load for practicing quick follow up shots at multiple targets -- 3-round bursts (1 + double tap) at each steel plate across the width of the range. Compared to the heavier woods loads I typically run in my Glock 20 (in the magazine I alternate 200g flat nose hardcast Underwoods with a Muzzle Energy of 694 ft lbs, and Underwood 140g Xtreme Penetrators, which run plenty hot at 1,500 fps) these 150g Jack Hammers are easy on my joints, exceedingly pleasant to shoot, and quick to get back on target due to the low recoil of the load. If worked up to a max load I could see alternating all three of these bullets in the Glock 15-round magazine.

I have not yet loaded these to a max load. I need to pick up a different chrono for those ladder tests. My Magnetospeed Sport won't work with a pistol (the Magnetospeed v3 is supposed to work with some pistols, including a Glock 20 Gen4, using a rail mount kit).

150 Jack Hammers were seated to their maximum COAL of 1.262" to fit the Glock magazine (SAAMI maximum COAL is 1.260"). I used a Lee FCD taper-crimp in the middle of the top PDR groove. They fit the Glock 20 Gen4 magazine perfectly. There were no hang-ups with feeding or chambering in the standard Glock 20 Gen4 magazine or 4.61" standard factory barrel.

My first Data Post. Second attempt to insert my data in this field rather than the PDF I attached earlier. Please correct if I'm on the wrong track.

@jasbo,
Thanks for your effort. All that's not necessary. Just give me the data you provided above in a tabular form. I'll enter it into the data tables. Then about once monthly I update the tables with everyone's new data. I like the incremental velocity increases as you posted them. That tells a lot about the powder/load characteristics😃
Thank you again for your effort!
EDIT:
Your spreadsheet finally finished downloading. I've got a question. Are all of the velocities posted with the same load? They're all pretty close together with a pretty hefty ES?

My apology for this delay responding to your question. Answer: Yes, same load and I am not pleased with the ES.
Rem 700 with unknown total round count. I cleaned barrel and chamber with Wipe Out until no color on patch before making 10 shots of which the first didn’t register; hence, the 9 shots I reported. This is my first success loading Hammer Hunters. This rifle did not like 160 Shock Hammers using IMR 7828 as I couldn’t get groups with changes to load, jump or Lee FCD. After 160SH I tried 143HH which shot the best 200 yard groups ever by me (1/2 MOA). Unfortunately I didn’t investigate S.G. for 143HH in this 9-1/4” twist rifle until after those loads. After consulting with Hammer Steve I decided to try146HH which is a perfect match for this Rem 700 with H4831.
As a backup rifle I am happy with less than 3/4 MOA (200 yds) though ES is subpar.

Two (2) 7 SAUM Loads shot today between 11:00 and 3:00. 200 yd targets at 330 degrees with a 6-9 MPH wind from 90 to 135 degrees. Attempted to time my shots during lulls, not always successful. NOTE: Error in notes of IMR4350 load corrected.
