Her first shot went through hair and tore the ear in half. It was running towards us at an angle when she fired the second shot and down it went. The guide said they never go down like that. Not even from a 45-70. Now it may have been her Vortex scope also, the world may never know.

It's a308. I also had hit the Buffalo in the neck from behind. 168 TTSX. Yes it weighed 143 grs but didn't do enough damage to drop it on the spot. I think a Hammer would be much more violent on impact.
