Hi Farleg, thank you for the compliment; I am new to Hammer, these 257 absolute Hammers will be my first Hammer loads. When I opened the box, I thought these bullets almost look like jewelry and I needed a cool thumbnail picture for a Hammer video I am working on, so I came up with that design. I just placed the bullets on a Grey foam block loosely in that pattern, but a guy could apoxie or glue them in place for a permanent piece of art. I'm sure anyone could do it. I would certainly send you the high definition photos in an email, of course no charge.
I also bought some factory 240 Weatherby 72 grain Hammer rounds, I will be using them on " trophy pronghorn " this October. I got drawn for September cow elk, mule deer and whitetail in November as well. The 257 and 240 will be good on deer but I think the 257 and definitely the 240 will be a little light for elk. I have a 270 wsm, a 7mm rem. Mag and a 300 Weatherby that I use on elk ( usually the 300 ) Any suggestions on bullets for those three?
So this year will be my first hunt with The Hammers, the Pic of my deer was not killed with Hammers, I just wanted to include a photo to show the forum that I hunt.

Cheers back to you and thanks for the nice comment

Welcome from Northern California.
Recommendation for bullets are always great, but for us we need a bit more information. Please check and verify the twist on your rifles. This is important so we don't go down a wrong path.
Also distances your comfortable taking said game.
Again welcome.

Hi and thanks, the 270 WSM, 7mm and 300 are all 1 in 10, 525 yards is about my max on game. I practice out to 800 ( on my range) and am very confident at 400, most of my kills are between 300 and 450. I like to have a dead-hold point blank as close to 400 as possible. All my hunting is done in open bald prairie with some hills and valleys.
I appreciate your advice and suggestions.

Cheers

Tell me about the 270 WSM please Sir as I am planning on building one as we speak

270wsm 117hh or 122hht
7rem 143hh or 145hht
300wby. 166hh or 168hht
This would be my choices, we are all different.
Some might go heavier with the 300wby.
Good luck and keep us updated.
