Hammer Hunter 180 gr for 308 Win

For some reason my screen shot inputs aren't coming through correctly.

He gave a 10.4" twist on his, and I just went with that.

So the difference in our end number.

I know what happened - the page I had linked to showed the minimum twist to stabilize the bullet - that's what it calculates. Inputs are on the left, output is the calculated twist rate.

For me it shows green and 1.496.

Steve got 1.478, so likely input variability.

Twist are not often as advertised and measuring is a good idea.

Sample packs are also helpful.

I always calculate stability at sea level and standard atmosphere to make sure there is enough terminal stability. In my opinion the 308 win 10" twist is fully stable with the 180gr Hammer Hunter. Given @DanielOwenLynch personal needs for a hunting combo the only thing I would change is to go with the 182gr Hammer HHT. I can't wait for the hunting success!
