Haha as usual a chat with the worlds busiest Taswegian should sort me out!
Les got me thinking about the possibility of using federal 210 and a little bit of searching has shown that there are a number of people using these in their rums. I had, perhaps naively assumed that with the powder volume in question a magnum primer was a definite necessity.. does anyone else here have experience with standard primers in the rum case?
I am wondering too if the faster powders I am likely to be using will help with this too? I think from memory @Farleg you were running 2208/Varget in your rum with 137HH?
I must admit that downloading a cartridge is a bit of a change of head space for me
I don’t necessarily need a reduced load as she now has a very effective muzzle break which has enabled her to shoot 180gr factory loads without issue and I would be trying 137HH/138HHT just need to make sure she’s got plenty of hearing protection!!
I would still be very interested to know about the reduced loads, I have 2208 & 2217 no 2206H at the moment
