308 Win Savage 110 Scout swaped to 20" Varmint profile barrel 10 Twist

162 Absolute Hammer
Hornady Brass 1x fired FL Resized
Federal LR Primer
2.810 COAL no crimp
48 grains of Varget
2880 FPS according to Caldwell Chrono

No pressure sign on primer or case. No heavy bolt. Dont think I can fit any more powder in without a crimp. Probably call it good there and start accuracy testing and get more chrono data.

Not much for accuracy so far. Shot groups with 46-47gn in 0.5 increments. 1.4" is the best so far. Likely find something decent between 44-46gn / 2700-2750fps. Shot some 175gr Terminal Ascent for a control and got 0.7" @ 104 yards. May need a faster powder. Going to try some IMR 4064.
Open to any suggestions.

I want to start this thread as a place to look up what others have done with their rifles and Hammers. Since these are individual recipes, they should be approached with caution when used.

When you post your load, give powder, primer, brass, coal, barrel length, and twist. Give your start load and your finish load. (Edit: Also add stability factor at sea level at 60 degrees in the last column. You can use JBM or BERGER for this). Then add any notes that you think are needed.

I am making this a sticky so lets try and keep this to be just loads and put conversation about the loads in another thread. So if you have a question about the load tag the poster in another thread. I think we can get a pretty good library going.

79.0 - 3057 fps
80.0 - 3087 fps Faint ejector
81.0 - 3093 fps Ejector

Printed 1.077” group at 200 yards while running the pressure test in a 17 mph NNW wind (shooting W) 79.0 and 81.0 went into the same ragged hole.

Loaded 3 with 79.0 at 3.645 to get away from the lands, getting 2 touching and the 3rd more than an inch away. Intermittent faint ejector marks. ES was over 50. More work needed to find a node and fine tune seating depth. Ran out of the sample pack before I got there. This has potential.

Also tried N570

79.0 - 2951 fps
80.0 - 3038 fps Ejector Stop.
These 2 rounds were 3 inches apart at 200 yards.

Results were so good with H1000 I did not go any further with N570

More 214‘s on the way…..

New load for 300 Warlock. A little background, the Warlock was my first venture into a wildcat cartridge 5 or 6 years ago. It's simply a hybrid of the 30 Nosler utilizing the tight neck tolerances of the 300 PRC and throated for the 225 grain ELDM. It spends most of it's time collecting dust and donating parts to customer builds when needed. It's now on it's 3rd stock, the first two being chassis stocks that someone else always wanted worse than me. I resurrected it the other day hoping to take it to a 1000 yard match with Hammer bullets. Very optimistic with the results on both the 182 HHT and the 160 Target.
