Ti pro isn't ringing a bell. Can you fill me in with a bit more info?As for muzzle brakes I'm pretty happy with the Ti pro. They work great and are lighter than a radial in SS

How does the calculator factor in gun weight?70gr @ 3600 fps = 8.9lbs
90gr @ 3800 fps = 16.6lbs
tuning that .277 90gr down to 3400 fps gives it 14.8 lbs. Add in the muzzle brake effect and that gets reasonable.
Not sure how it works under the hood....but here's the link: https://jbmballistics.com/cgi-bin/jbmrecoil-5.1.cgiHow does the calculator factor in gun weight?
So the numbers you posted above were for a 7lb gun?Not sure how it works under the hood....but here's the link: https://jbmballistics.com/cgi-bin/jbmrecoil-5.1.cgi
As promised, here are the results from my range session this morning with the 122gr HHT: https://hammerbullets.com/hammertime/threads/share-your-hammer-loads.12/post-23420Heading to the range in the morning to do some load development using RL16 under 122gr HHT in my 270 WSM. I’ll let you know what I find

Good info. I've got a pile of RL26 but was figuring it would be to slow for the light weight bullets. As promised, here are the results from my range session this morning with the 122gr HHT: https://hammerbullets.com/hammertime/threads/share-your-hammer-loads.12/post-23420
11 shots fired and I have a load that gave me a 0.4" group.
She wants a 300 wsm. She had a vanguard years ago. We both disliked it so much we sold it. Only gun we have ever sold. It wasn't the cartridge it was the vanguard. Total POS.300 WSM can also be loaded down to 308 levels for recoil sensitive shooters. I'd choose a 300 WSM, but I'm never going to stand in anyone's way of buying a new rifle! Someone suggested letting your wife decide what caliber she wanted, and that sounds like a recipe for success to me!
Isn't it made by Salmon River Solutions? Thinking that is where I ordered the one on my 30-28 Nosler and had them customize it. They were really helpful getting it matched to my threads and barrel size.Ti Pro is from the Rokslide store, or found on Unknown Munitions website. UM makes it.
The TiPro brakes are made by Salmon River Solutions. I have the 5 port on my 338 RUM. Tames the recoil very well. I’d say my 338 has less recoil than my 300 win mag with a Holland brake. If you are ok with using a brake I highly recommend the TiPro brakes.Ti pro isn't ringing a bell. Can you fill me in with a bit more info?
I bought a Savage 110 Ultralight in 300WSM. It is light. It has a very nice PROOF research carbon barrel. The stock is adjustable to length and comb height with inserts. I'm not totally happy with the brake I put on it, so would definitely go with the recommendation from Beeman. I'm amazed at how it tames the kick. I would say it at least deserves a good look. She wants a 300 wsm. She had a vanguard years ago. We both disliked it so much we sold it. Only gun we have ever sold. I killed my second largest whitetail ever with it.

Hey guys,The TiPro brakes are made by Salmon River Solutions.
You better double check those twist rates on the Tikka.I’d be getting a 243 for sure. Remington and tikka are 1:8 twist now so you can run some very nice weight hammers for larger animals such as elk.
You are correct sir. I recind my comment I don’t see any 1:8 for 243 in the tikka. Weatherby is chambering 243 and 240 weatherby in the 307 now in 1-7.5You better double check those twist rates on the Tikka.
