There’s a couple things about hunting with a 10mm. Guys who have limited handgun hunting experience tend to buy into the Yeet Cannon mantra. It’s a good cartridge with a premium, heavy-for-caliber bullet ran fast, BUT it’s on the low end of the scale. Don’t get me wrong, I’d definitely take it over nothing and over any CCW style handgun. I even built one on a G21S frame and carry it in the woods when I don’t want the extra weight of a revolver. Shooting discipline and proper mechanics are essential as is knowing your competence with it (really that’s true for any handgun).
Also, black bears and whitetail deer aren’t particularly hard to kill and it’s suitable enough for them. I’m still not buying the Razor Dobbs
though.
