So, how doesn't pemican go bad?

I could give you a long, science based explanation but it would be 100% bull.

I'm pretty sure it's because all the water has been removed from the meat and the fat was removed from the liquid you mix it with.

I just have a feeling it's not gonna taste as good as Brownies.

If you add that other "Brownie ingredient" it might make the experience a little more enjoyable.

Pemmican is a wonderous technology. The people who invented this figured out why their meat went bad and developed a method to prevent that from happening. I bet when they were in their winter lodges with deep snow making travel impossible this stuff tasted like sugar coated chocolate.
