You are not old unless as a kid, you had to choke down Paregoric when you were sick.
It was the worst tasting stuff ever, but it usually made me feel better.
No wonder it's not available now. It contained morphine.

I had a steep driveway that got icy in the winter. I would pop the clutch on the old two wheel drive dodge. The back wheels would just spin on the ice. I would hop out and push against the garage door until the truck started rolling back. Run around and hop back in. Gun it up the driveway. If someone was coming on the busy highway I had To go back down and repeat the process.
