Started development with the 178gr Shock Hammer.
It is fitting that I am using a 360BuckHAMMER....see what I did there..lol.
*EDIT* I just achieved 308WIN ballistics in this 360Buckhammer.

FYI, just a little background for you. I authored the Michigan Straight Wall regulation in May 2009 that Ohio copied and frankly improved! Unfortunately MIDNR not as forward thinking as Ohio!

Yes, honestly, since Ohio does not have a maximize case length limit; even the 45-120 is legal, I could see shooting a 360BuckHAMMER based on the original 375WIN length.
I recently submitted a resolution based on Ohio's updated reg. The biggest concern is someone is going to hunt with a 500Nitro. Seriously? Prob a $15K rifle at min and prob close to $15-20 a shot. Yeah, great doe killer.

Honestly, I have a 350Legend that is subMOA out to 300 yards. The only problem is finding a bullet that will expand at such a low impact velocity.
I am excited for this 360Buckhammer and the Hammer Bullets capability.
Probably not a 300 yard combination, but easily 200 yards.

Which is the exact basis of this rule. These rifles are for most part 200 yd rifles but with greater accuracy, cost effective in comparison to $15/5 slugs, more consistent, less recoil to bring in youth, women and sustain older folks

Brass expensive but over the life of the brass it’s on a par or not as expensive as my rums
Primer same cost
Powder about same
Pills
cast pill extremely cheap
High end pills yep they are $
Riles can be high end $ or more realistic available
45-90 or 45-120 is another id seriously consider

Our Ohio Law stipulates a maximum of 3 rounds in a firearm for deer hunting. So one in the chamber and one in the tubular magazine.
I am hoping these 178gr shoot well! Unbelievable that I am getting 308Win ballistics!
The 178's will be fine in the tube mag. 4mm hp.
The 140gr SH has the same 3mm hp as the bullets designed for tube mags. Just doesn't have the extra meat around the hollow point to create the flat surface to ride on the primer outer surface. Gray area for sure.
