Welcome to the predator pit.....

It's no wonder there are any deer left in Washington State.

I can confirm @jrebel assessment. Not far south of these photos, we have all of the above in town.

One picture in long rifle range of our house, there has been a photo of a wolf. This isn't rural by any stretch.

We got a couple of ATV trips in this summer, and saw more predator sign than ungulate. Moose are all but gone compared to 20 years ago.

Even road kill is scarce.

I feel you, Northern CA is the same way.
Years ago, a UPS truck hit and killed a puma midday on a well traveled highway. Now lions and bears (oh my!) are showing up in the Urban areas with greater frequency.
Between predators and poachers, game animals seem to be only found in populated areas.🤬

You both are 100% correct. Washington State Dept. of Wildlife Commission has made it very clear they want predators doing what hunters are doing and want hunters gone. It goes against what the WAC / Law states and they are bold and just don't care. It disgust me!!

These pics are a sample of the collection I have.....it is gross how many predators we have in this state.

Agreed, I saw nothing for Elk and Moose during season this year and very few Hunters except for the ones driving the roads. Washington is getting pretty bad!!

Does your state fund your State Dept of Wildlife or do they get funded via Pittman-Robertson taxes on arm and ammunition? If they don’t receive state funds from the legislature to operate they may regret their decisions …

Wyoming doesn’t “fund” WY Game & Fish.

Unfortunately, the funding is a double edged sword. In MT, I don't know if they receive state funds as well, but they sure receive funds from license sales, and I think all they see is dollar signs. "Elk population half of what it used to be? No problem, just open up more units to cows as well and we can sell more licenses." I'm not sure there's any way to control these bureaucrats. They don't seem to answer to the sportsmen who are paying their salaries.
